Civil Service Hurling Club Newsletter 18 June 2013

Another busy week ahead with our last games in the preliminary rounds of the championship. On Tues 18th June our first team faces a possible relegation fixture in JHC ‘B’ in Islandbridge at 7.30 pm vs Naomh Fionnbarra. After losing our last two games by a single point, instead of competing for the knockout stages for silverware, we are facing a battle for survival at that level. A huge effort is required to ensure we succeed.

Our second team takes on Setanta in JHC ‘E’ on Thurs 20th June at 7.30pm in Ballymun with two wins out of four games to date giving us a good chance to progress to the quarter finals.

Back to league action next Sunday 23rd June with our first team in action in AHL 6 in Dolphin Park at 11.00 v St. Kevins and our second team in AHL 8 in Islandbridge at 3.00 pm vs Oliver Plunketts. All players are asked to respond promptly to requests on Teamer and to be available on time at the required venue.

Off the pitch, the Committee met on Wednesday 12th June. Remember a date for your diary is the upcoming fundraising “night at the dogs” in Shelbourne Park on Thursday 11th July. Tickets are on sale.
